Iceland’s ancient tradition of healers and herbalists have always relied on the powers of wild herbs for their practices. Tær Icelandic herbalists use organic herbs, hand-picked from sustainable sources and selected for their specific healing combinations. Tær’s unique blends combine ancient wisdom with modern, cosmetic science.
Tær’s fundamental ingredient is yarrow, renowned for its outstanding anti-ageing, repairing, healing and nourishing properties. Organic yarrow is carefully selected by Icelandic herbalists at its prime and handpicked early in the summer, just before it blossoms, leaving the roots intact, allowing the rest of the plant to continue growing. Cutting the plant actually gives the new sprouts access to light, so it can grow and become stronger.
Other key ingredients include chickweed, calendula, lady’s mantle, lavender, horsetail, frankincense, mayweed, chamomile and lemon balm. All the herbs are selected from sustainable sources.
